Field Punishment No.1

In 1916, the New Zealand government secretly shipped fourteen of the country's most outspoken conscientious objectors to the Western Front in an attempt to convert, silence, or quite possibly kill them.

Field Punishment No.1 was awarded a Gold World Medal at the New York Film & TV Festival 2015.

UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

Until Proven Innocent is based on the case of David Dougherty, who was wrongly jailed for the rape and abduction of an 11-year-old girl. This film follows the campaign to prove his innocence.

The film was nominated for 10 Qantas New Zealand Television Awards, and won five, including best drama.

Operation overdue

In 1979, a jet carrying 257 passengers on a sightseeing tour over Antarctica went missing. Eleven police officers were called to duty and undertook an extraordinary operation as they came face to face with one of the world’s worst disasters.

Operation Overdue is a docu-drama which Peter co-directed with documentarian Charlotte Purdy. Together they won Best Director in New Zealand’s documentary festival, Documentary Edge.

The Tattooist

A tattoo artist unknowingly plays a role in releasing a deadly spirit as he attempts to learn tatau, the Samoan tradition of tattooing. This supernatural thriller was a co-production between Singapore and New Zealand. It was released theatrically in both countries in 2007, and distributed in the U.S. by Ghost House Underground.
